Automatic Sensor Xnite LED Lite Diamond Blue Night Light (2-pack) Reviews

I think LEDs are great… they consume very little power and SHOULD last a long time. That has not been my experience with these. I purchased a pair of these a year ago. One stopped working entirely after 3 months. The other started out adequately bright, but quickly dimmed to a mere fraction of a lumen… bright enough to locate the light itself in a dark room, but not bright enough to illuminate any surrounding objects.

After I moved into my new apt, my big living room used to be dark like a dungeon, and I didn’t wanna my place to be shine with different colors like a museum. So I brought these lights, 4 pack of them since they run on led bulb. I heard eventually they will replace regular bulb in the future.
My order got here only 5 days later by fedex, what a great service!
I put them on each side of my living room’s wall and some in kitchen, some in hallway and 1 in bathroom. These lights light up my place with cool, bright blue tint at night time. I could see everything clearly at night time. They have dusk and dawn function so they will turn on when room gets too dark and turn off when room gets too bright. I love it! Perfect which suits all my needs. Unlike those 3 glow bricks I brought before, which was a complete waste of money.

C. Crane BNB Bright Night LED Nightlight Bulb Reviews

Overall I am impressed with this replacement LED night light bulb. It is about as bright as a standard night light bulb, but runs cold.
I bought 2 of these to replace some existing night lights, and was so happy with them I bought 2 more. The overall bulb design is not too fancy and I don’t think I would use it as a straight out bulb (no cover). But putting them in standard nightlights with shades works great. I have some other LED night light bulbs (some are 2 LED, some are 3) but they throw out a very faint amount of light. Almost useless unless you are right on top of it.
I would recommend these LED night light bulbs over the others. Only complaint is they are a bit costly (7-8 dollars).

I’m not usually a huge fan of CC Crane LED products but this lil’ bulb impresses me so much. It’s brighter than the conventional incandescent 7w bulb that it replaces. It’s output is in the 5000K range (i.e. daylight spectrum) which is exactly what I need it to be. The only complaint may be that its light distribution can be more even. Right now the dome is fully & evenly lit which is nice but the 4 side-pointing diodes give off very intensed yet concentrated light sources. If they somehow can point inward & contribute to the general dome output, it will make this almost like an incandescent bulb. But still, very nice. It consumes 0.58w (instead of the usual 7w) so I’m not afraid to leave it on 24/7 (although in reality I don’t).

Sylvania LED Power Failure Light, 2nd Generation
An ordinary nightlight simply offers a bit of comfort in the dark, but what do you so when the power goes out and you lose your nightlight? The 2nd Generation Sylvania LED Power Failure Light does much more, it operates as a standard nightlight and using a built-in rechargeable battery, it will remain lit even when the power fails. Additionally, the light can be removed from the outlet and used as a flashlight. Once the device has been plugged in, the built-in rechargeable battery will begin to charge. A photocell will activate the nightlight only in the dark so it doesn’t drain energy throughout the day. If you should lose power, the LED will flash and the rechargeable battery will kick in for up to seven hours of use. The light can be removed from the outlet and used as a flashlight; an On/Off button and retractable plug are present for added convenience. The light is perfect for any room, the hallway, stairway, bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, garage and attic. This Power Failure Light is a home safety product that gives you a reliable light source and continued peace of mind for everyday and emergency use.
- LED light turns on automatically in the dark
- Plugs in to any standard outlet to operate as a nightlight
- Rechargeable batteries allow it to stay lit when power fails or it can be used as a flashlight

Sylvania LED Power Failure Light, 2nd Generation Reviews

I bought five of these. Take them home, plug them in…only two work.
The working ones pro and con:
Pro: Low profile, plenty bright enough to navigate the house at night. Adequate as a flashlight to find your way.
Con: The light detector is pretty twitchy, in moderate light it would turn on and off uncertainly. The design requires you to plug it in only one way, which can be inconvenient depending on how your sockets are laid out.
Misc: When the power fails, they flash on and off. The internal battery is a soldered shrink-wrapped three pack of 2/3 size AAA types pretty permanently built in. 3.6v 320maH. The wrapper says it uses 1 watt, so the battery should last for about an hour which is not so impressive. I am writing the company to complain about the 60% failure rate out of the box. Hopefully they will replace the faulty units.

The Sylvania LED Power Failure light is a compact, stylish product with a bright LED night light and effective emergency flashlight. However, it does have issues regarding the night light sensor that you need to consider.
Pros:
Small and compact. About 5″ long x 2 1/8″ wide x 9/16″ thick
AC plug is not polarized, so it can be plugged into an AC outlet pointing up or down.
Doesn’t block the unused AC outlet.
Bright single-LED night light mode. Brighter 3-LED flashlight mode.
Cons:
Prone to flickering in night light mode depending on the brightness in the room, or the shadows you cast on the device as you move around near it. This can be distracting, but may also depend on the location of the light.
Light sensor/photocell circuit can apparently be fooled into not turning on the night light as the room gradually darkens in the evening. Defeats the purpose of a night light.
No user-replaceable batteries.
As other reviewers have commented, this is a stylish and modern-looking LED night light. When the room darkens, a single bright white LED turns on as a night light. If there is a power failure, this single LED flashes on and off (perhaps to conserve battery power?) until you unplug it and use the rubber-covered on/off switch to turn the flashlight mode on or off. In flashlight mode, all three white LED’s make for a useful flashlight that lasts for several hours but gradually drops off in intensity.
A frustrating quirk I’ve observed with the night light sensor, aside from the sometimes distracting flickering, is that I routinely find the LED nightlight is off when I arrive home to a dark kitchen in the evening. In simple terms, it fails to act as a night light.
The night light is plugged in next to the sink, near blind-covered windows. Perhaps the room darkens so gradually that the photocell never turns on the LED night light? If I turn on the room lights and then turn them off, the LED night light will turn on. I’ve seen the same flaw in both of the lights I purchased.
I’ve had better luck with the Greenlite 3-in-1 Flashlight Nitelite Emergency Light as a general purpose night light and power failure light. While it doesn’t do well as a hand-held flashlight, it works well as an area light during a power failure.

Don’t waste electricity by leaving a nightlight glowing all day long! Feit Electric NL4/LED Eternalite 3-LED Modern Night Light with Sensor Reviews

I have 5 Feit Eternalite LED night lights, and they are superb. Not hot to the touch, negligible electricity useage, they last forever, and they turn on-and-off automatically. But for some strange reason they put an opaque, milk glass type of shade over the light on this model, #NL4/LED. My other 4 Feit units are a different model number and have a clear cover; those have the same number of LEDs but they project 5 times the light because of the different shade cover. By the way, the unit is sealed so you cannot change the shade. So be sure you get one with a clear shade if you want the full amount of light. The one I like best also has a swivel-neck so you can direct the light in any direction. That one is also sold under the brand name Greenlite, model T4.

I bought three of these. They work great and they are very sleek against the wall. Some of the other LED night lights really stand out. I recommend it. It has the milky glass but it puts out plenty of light.

Color Changing LED Photo Sensor Night Light Reviews

I wanted to get my boyfriend some nightlights that looked cooler than standard nightlights, but would still provide me with enough light to get around his condo at night. I was really nervous that these nightlights would be cheesy, but they really aren’t. You can adjust the light to change colors in a flash (which, I have to admit, looks a little cheesy) or fade from one color to the next, which is actually pretty cool. You can also set it to stay on one single color, that’s what my boyfriend did – he likes the green. Plus, it has a light sensor, so you don’t have to worry about switching it on and off. We both really love the nightlights and they look great in his condo!

The unit is smaller than I expected. Looking at the picture, I expected it to be kinda big. The photo sensor works really well. The leds kick in immediately after you turn off the lights. And in the morning it shuts down by itself.
Overall, I think its an okay night light because of the following: the night light is not nearly bright enough. The modes are kind of weak. If you select the continuous change you will see many nice colors (which is great) but the drawback is that they change way too fast. It would be really nice if it had another continuous change mode that was slower in changing the colors. In fact, if it had this feature it alone would make me give it 5 stars and forget the rest of the drawbacks.
I hope they make a new version of the light with a slower color-change and one that allows you to lock it in on white or any of the numerous “changing colors,” such as bluish purple or orange.
Anyway, if you buy it and find that the speed of the color-change is fine for you, I’m pretty sure you will be satisfied with the night light.

Feit Electric NL5/LED Rotating Night Light with Sensor Reviews

I ordered this product from Amazon, thinking I’d get the night light depicted in their ad. What I received was different…looks like this instead: http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/I/31Fu9zWxveL._AA160_.jpg
However, the description on the website fits, so I think it is just an incorrect picture. Nevertheless, I was pleased with the “#NL5″ I received. The wall plug is on a commutator that allows you to rotate the light at a 360 degree angle parallel to the wall and the diffractor casing also rotates 360 degrees and one side is opaque, so that you can direct the light. The 3 LEDs are quite bright, so I found it helps to have the opaque side facing the front, making it a little easier on the eyes. However, if you need more light, you can angle the translucent side towards the ground while the opaque side shields the harsh light from your eyes at night.
Note that as is the case with all LED lights, they lose about 1/3 of their initial brightness after about a month of use, after which the output stays roughly constant for the remaining 50-100,000 hours of their life. Having the adjustable beam angle makes it easy to make adjustments after the initial brightness fades.
This light has a photocell which turns the light on and off and will even dim the light depending on the ambient light. However, I find Feit’s dimmers a little insensitive. As is the case with the Theatre-style #NL6, these lights tend to remain lit when there is ample ambient light, but at least they are always on when you need them. The downside is that the lights may use more electric & burn out sooner than anticipated because they’re often on when you don’t need them.
Because of those minor quirks, I can only give this light 4 stars – but I certainly recommend it. Since I have switched to all CFL lighting in my house, these little night lights have helped by replacing the need to switch on the CFL in the middle of the night for less than a minute at a time. That will probably add months and years of life to my CFL bulbs, as CFL are sensitive to being used for less than 10 minutes at a time.

Same as the first review above. They came on time, but was different than what the picture was advertised. I love these lights anyways. They are very, very brite and I like how it is adjustable. I have them in the bathroom shared by my toddlers who wake up in the middle of the night to go number 1. It stays off most of the day since the bathroom has skylights and a good size window. I difinitely recommend this product.
