Coleman Hot Water-On-Demand Portable Water Heater Reviews

Review by Fruit Loop:

We bought this for camping since we do it year-round in all sorts of weather, but it’s been invaluable during natural disasters as well. The Coleman Water Heater kept us provided with hot water during an ice storm that killed power, and four hurricanes. Highly recommend.

Review by Amazon Customer:

We’re dedicated car-campers and have always heated water on the stove for cleaning dishes and ourselves. Never again. The Hot-Water-On-Demand product works very well. You get hot water almost instantly and there is enough temperature control to use this as a shower with the optional sprayer attachment. We still use a sun shower for ourselves due to the hose length, but for cleaning our kids, washing dishes, washing your hands or face, etc this is fantastic. Battery life has been fully acceptable. We charge it before a trip then keep it plugged into the car when we’re moving between camping locations. The propane cylinders last a reasonably long time – we’ve gotten 6 days out of the current cylinder and it hasn’t run out. The unit is light enough to easily move it to where you need it. Ours tends to live at one end of the picnic table and we put a small basin below it to act as a sink. I fully plan to use this for the upcoming tailgate season.

A Small Cabin That One Person Can Build

As reviewed by Kirkus Discoveries: ‘Step-by-step instructions on how to build a home in an economical and artistically unique way. Owning a home doesn’t have to be a trying ordeal, says Madison, who reports that he built his own house with little more than his own muscle power and ingenuity. Though he claims not to be particularly handy, he managed to create a fully functional cabin complete with electricity, running water and Internet access as part of a journey that was both fulfilling and therapeutic. He takes readers through the process, from cutting down trees and laying the foundation for the floor to installing piping and electricity to detailing plans to build additional modules. Pictures and diagrams complement the text, and the author even discusses his future plans to fully automate the cabin. In addition to the down-and-dirty details, he uses quotes from a number of philosophers-Aristotle, Locke, Rousseau and others-to help explain his motivation. It was as much about testing his own abilities as it was about creating a physical shelter. One one level, this is a practical guide that contains pertinent information for people who actually want to build their own cabin. On another, it’s a fascinating look inside the mind of a man who chose to go against the grain and who writes with such folksy charm and comical practicality that you can’t help but applaud him for bucking the system. Those not interested in building their own homes will be bored senseless by the technical details and some of the long-winded endnotes, but entertaining anecdotes-such as how the author munches on blackberries while simultaneously trimming his beard in his yard to lay down a barrier of human scent that deters snakes-keep the pages turning. In definite

A Small Cabin That One Person Can Build Reviews

Review by Michael E. Main:

Save your money. This book offers minimal information. B&W photos are dark and almost uninterpretable. There are no real drawings or prints to quantify the design. The professional reviews were most surely the most gratuitous verbage I’ve ever been so sorry to read. Again, save your money. Go to the library if they were unfortunate enough to purchase it. Then if you like it, you can have mine for the shipping.

Review by Thomas H. Hinke:

I enjoyed reading the book — I even enjoyed the footnotes. I thought that the author had a nice writing style and was easy to read. I found the content interesting since it provided information on how to build a simple cabin from what one could harvest off the land. From this standpoint, this looks like a unique book, since it does not assume that you have lots of money to purchase everything from your local lumberyard. As someone who has some familiarity with tools, but not a lot, I also learned much from the description of the tools and products that went into the cabin. For example, I had not heard about paper and glue snake traps before nor did I know that you could shoot snakes with 22-shot shells. This is the type of practical and useful information that a city person like me would not know about, but would be extremely valuable in actually living off the land. I found the cabin to be an impressive accomplishment for a single person, but I also felt that I could actually build such a cabin using the descriptions in the book and the tools and products described.

TITAN SCR2 N120 Electric Tankless Water Heater

NO TANK – SPACE SAVER
NO LIMIT
NO WAITING
SAVE UP TO 60% ON WATER HEATING COSTS!

One way to SAVE on domestic hot water bills is to use A DEMAND TYPE WATER HEATER. A conventional hot water system heats water in a tank to a specified temperature. As heat is lost from the tank, the water is reheated until it reaches the specified temperature again. For most of the day the water in the tank is not used, but it loses heat continually.
DEMAND WATER HEATERS Eliminate this problem by heating water only as hot water is drawn.

Facts: The average tank hot water Heater will supply only enough hot water for one or two showers before running out of hot water! Not with Titan Electronic Tankless Water Heater!

IT IS EASY TO SEE WHY CONVENTIONAL WATER HEATERS ARE NO LONGER ECONOMICAL OR PRACTICAL… They consume electricity to heat water that is not being used, a process that repeats itself over and over even though no hot water is needed.

The “TITAN Electronic Instant Water Heater” provides hot water ONLY when you need it, without the costly reheating process. An electronic component monitors the temperature of the water at different flow rates and maintains a pre-set temperature, allowing the use of conventional or single handle faucets.
Professional Installation is highly recommended.

  • Whole house capacity- 3bed/2bath 4 GPM
  • 11.8KW 220Volts 54Amps Dimensions: 10″ x 7″ x 2 3/4″
  • 1 Year replacement warranty – 10 year warranty on casing
  • Thermostatically control temp on front cover
  • 60% energy savings vs. conventional electric water heaters

TITAN SCR2 N120 Electric Tankless Water Heater Reviews

Review by David Flack:

Nice product and once I worked out the wiring and circuit breaker needs it seems to work very well. I hooked it up to the current hoy water heater wiring and fuse only to find it needs a 60 amp fuse and 6 gage wiring from fuse block to heater..This was not too expensive because my heater is only a few feet from the fuse box the wire is per foot and a new fuse was so it added to my bill and an hour running the wire through the crawl space. It does appear to work as promised, nice hot water instantly after connected.

Review by J. Kerr:

When they work – great. But I bought two, and 13 months later had to buy a third to replace one that died 1 month out of warranty. Yesterday, the 2nd of the first two purchases died – 19 months run time. The third one, btw, arrived with a dead ‘heating’ indicatorLED – but the unit made the proper hot water and dealing with the MFR was a pain, so I just kept it. MFR doesn’t want to make good on anything, WHEN and IF you can contact them and get an answer. And as a final insult, my electric bill went up about a month since replacing the old reliable tank electric water heater with these technological DEAD gems…gonna buy a nice Reliance or Kenmore tank heater and solar evac tube unit and forget this MADE IN AMERICA BUT I DON’T FUNCTION TRASH!
